The Pizza-Porta for the Big Joe is designed for the air hinge model only.

 When installed, the unit is latched in on the top and bottom. so that the dome does not lift up during cooking.

To install, open the dome and place the Pizza-Porta bottom latch opening over the KJ latch. This photo is looking up from underneath the Pizza-Porta.

To attach the top ring, slide the Pizza-Porta so that the top D-ring will flip over the latch tab as shown. We designed flexibility onto the mounting. Washers can be removed to change the compression, and the D ring bolt can be adjusted. Push down on the handle to compress the gasket and then flip the ring over the latch tab.

Pull open the door to ensure that the D ring stays in place. Adjust as necessary.

The door latch inside the door can be adjusted by hand to ensure that it holds the door closed. Note that the door does expand at high temperatures, changing the adjustment.
